According to Bu Zhigao, director of the Harbin Veterinary Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, five major progresses have been made in the creation of the African swine fever vaccine: First, the isolation of the first African swine fever virus in my country. Third, the two candidate vaccine strains have strong in vitro and in vivo genetic stability. The two candidate vaccine strains were successively passaged in primary cells in vitro, and there was no significant change in their biological characteristics and genome sequences, and no obvious virulence reversion was found in pigs after successive passages in vivo. Fourth, the minimum protective inoculation dose is clarified to prove the safety of high-dose and repeated-dose inoculation. Fifth, the preclinical pilot product process research has been initially completed. At present, the production seed bank of two candidate vaccines has been established, the purity and exogenous virus inspection of vaccine production seed batches have been preliminarily completed, and the cell culture and freeze-drying processes of the candidate vaccines have been preliminarily optimized.

The effective formula of botanical insecticide; the formula of compound quaternary ammonium salt disinfectant was screened out, and the pilot production research was completed.
